The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Cat Ambassador Internship is open to college students working towards a degree who are hardworking, highly motivated and professional. To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate commitment to working with children, adults, and wildlife in a zoo setting. As an intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, develop professional contacts in the zoo community, and attend lectures and continuing education courses presented by staff from a variety of departments. Topics include basic animal husbandry, operant conditioning, enrichment, nutrition, veterinary care, conservation, and job-seeking/interview skills. Specifically, you will support the ambassador cheetah program alongside animal trainers and will care for ocelots, servals, red river hogs, domestic cats, and dogs.
