The Institute for Systems Biology High School Student Internship is open to rising high school senior students. As an intern, you will gain valuable microbiology, engineering, and computational experience. Possible research topics include but are not limited to: computational biology (which can include scenarios in health and/or the environment), cancer, microbiology (which includes microbial interactions, antimicrobial resistance, resilience and collapse of complex systems), engineering laboratory systems, technology development, the microbiome, infectious disease, immune system diversity, and aging and fragility. In addition to the scientific and educational components of this eight-week internship, you will also meet with a variety of the ISB staff to explore many types of professions and career paths.
