Description

The Firefly ASW/Community Partners for Child Safety Internship is open to applicants 21 years of age and older who desire to make a difference in the lives of children and families and have conviction about the capacity for all people to grow and change for the better. To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess strong communication, prioritization, and time management skills. You should also be able to respect confidentiality practices, have an appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences, and hold a valid driver's license and insurance. As an intern, you will shadow professionals and gain a critical understanding of the rewards and challenges of the social services field. You will create learning objectives to meet school program expectations for student learning plans with your supervisor, develop and maintain positive working relationships with the Department of Child Services (DCS), and assist program staff, including but not limited to director, case managers, therapists and administrative staff. This internship is offered in Indianapolis, IN.
