City of San Diego GIS Internship-PAID

Description

The City of San Diego GIS Internship is available to students 16 years of age an older who are U.S. citizens/legal residents and are enrolled in a continuing education, traditional education, or training program. To be considered for this role, you should be a team player, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, able to handle various duties and deadlines simultaneously and interact with various individuals to assist in the operations of the division. As an intern, you will support the department on special projects performing tasks including but not limited to the areas of administration, management, research, computer programming, database management, writing, procedure optimization, documentation, planning, analysis, data management, data science, GIS, and interacting with administrative and operational staff and members of the public. Special projects will be assigned and prioritized by a direct supervisor or member of the management team. Once SMART goals have been established with their supervisor, the intern will choose multiple specific areas to focus on during their internship. This internship is offered in San Diego, CA.
