Description

The Arcadis Climate Adaptation Internship is open to upper-division undergraduate students and graduate students of any level who are majoring in engineering, urban planning, coastal sciences, public policy, environmental science, or a related field. To be considered for this role, you should have familiarity working with GIS software (i.e., ESRI or QGIS) and with Microsoft Office. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in coastal restoration, flood risk resilience, project implementation, environmental review, or infrastructure and resilience grants management fields. As an intern, you will conduct research and assist in drafting clear, well-organized report sections to support resilience projects, climate risk assessments, and funding applications. You will help develop maps and other graphic materials for inclusion in project presentations, reports, and community engagement materials. You will also conduct climate risk assessments, including compiling and analyzing climate and hazard exposure data, developing and maintaining GIS datasets, automating geospatial analysis steps using Python and/or GIS tools, and generating summary statistics.
