Description

The NASA Plasma and Plants Internship is available to upper-division undergraduate students and to graduate students of any level who are majoring in biological and biomedical sciences, botany/plant biology, aerospace engineering, biochemical engineering, chemistry, physics, engineering science, or related fields. You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this opportunity and general laboratory and plant growth experience is preferred. As an intern, you will focus on working with space crop production and plasma systems. The work will consist of preparing hydroponic systems for grow outs, creating nutrient solutions, harvesting plants, performing plasma-based laboratory experiments, data analysis, and report writing. You will support full time staff of scientists and engineers during testing and data analysis. This internship is offered in Merritt Island, FL.
