Description

The NASA Moon Tycoon Lunar Simulation Software Development Internship is open to to sophomore-level and above undergraduate students who are are studying computer or information science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, communications engineering, mathematics and computer science, or a related field. You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this internship. As an intern, you will support a software development project to build, test, and manage a production quality desktop and Virtual Reality (VR) lunar simulation application called Moon Tycoon. You will help design, develop, test, debug, and publish this software which will eventually support several agency wide mission planning projects. The Unity game engine will be utilized to help create immersive 3D Lunar landscapes and lunar equipment and experiences for the user. Because the Moon Tycoon lunar simulation software is in a state of maturity and criticality that is needed by the end users, you must already have experience developing software using the Unity game engine. Please include examples of your prior Unity work in your application. This program is offered in Merritt Island, FL.
