Description

The Safeco Insurance Environmental Underwriting Internship is open to students pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental studies, RMI, geology, biology, chemistry, sustainability, or a related field. To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and possess strong analytical, decision-making, negotiating, interpersonal, and customer service skills. As an intern, you will focus on two fundamental questions: Should Liberty Mutual write a policy for a particular customer? What is a fair price for the risk that we would incur by writing the policy? During this 11-week internship, you’ll learn how to develop a profitable commercial book of business under the guidance of experienced environmental underwriters.
