Description

The E & J Gallo Coastal Lab Internship is available to students 21 years of age and older who are pursuing a degree in agriculture, physical sciences, or engineering (biomedical, biological, environmental, industrial or chemical engineering). To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. You should also be able to climb fixed stairs with handrails and vertical ladders with hoop cages to a height of 40 feet and have experience computing mathematical formulas and basic computer skills. As an intern, you will assist in lab blends, conduct fining trials, monitor wine health, and perform sampling, gaining firsthand experience in essential winemaking processes. Your daily tasks will include executing detailed analyses of grapes, juice, and wine, measuring vital components such as yeast and bacteria, Brix, Alcohol, pH, TA, Free & Total SO2, RS, ML, VA, NH3, and NOPA in the analytical laboratory. Additionally, you will sample tanks and barrels to aid in monitoring fermentations, ensuring wines meet the highest standards.
