To be considered for this role, you should be majoring in a field such as product design, computer graphics, graphic design, interaction design, industrial design, media arts, visual communications, computer science, data science, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, behavioral science, content design, or related fields (if you’re a creative problem solver and wanting to explore a career in UX, and don’t see your major listed here, please still apply). Additionally, you should have deep empathy and a passion for understanding people, uncovering their values and unspoken needs, and designing solutions with these values and needs at the heart of it all. A portfolio submission is required. Throughout the 12-week internship program, you will receive guided mentorship and participate in boot-camp style workshops. Through hands-on participation in group projects, you will deepen your knowledge and practice new skills in a variety of design subject areas including strategy and innovation, user experience and user interface (UI) design, visual/motion design, user research, prototyping, and design production. This opportunity is offered in Redwood City, CA, and Seattle, WA.
