Description

The NPR News Now Internship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who have a strong interest in national and international news. To be considered for this role, you should possess strong writing and multitasking skills, be detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and have audio cutting experience. Some journalism experience (such as an internship at a local public radio station or a job at a college radio station) is preferred. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced newscasters on how to adapt stories to short-form. You will assist in newsgathering, cutting tape, pitching stories and writing copy. You will also have the opportunity to report your own stories and have your work on air. This internship is offered in Washington, DC, during the fall.
