The Digital History Intern: African American Experience and the California National Historic Trail Remote position is open to students who are currently enrolled at or a recent graduate of an HBCU institution with an interest in history, interpretation, National Trails, and/or the National Park Service. You must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent legal resident, be between the ages of 16 and 30, be able to pass a background check and be fully vaccinated in order to be considered for this position. Internship duties may include researching and developing interpretive media related to Black history and the California NHT. In collaboration with National Trails staff and determining which stories should be developed into content for the California NHTwebsite and social media platforms. The intern will conduct independent research to write digital content for a broad audience about historic sites, events, and figures.
