The Loggerhead Marinelife Center Education College Internship is available to college students majoring or interested in marine biology, environmental science, environmental education, or a related field. To be considered for this role, you should be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a criminal background check, be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and be comfortable speaking with the general public and engaging with guests of all ages, backgrounds, and learning abilities. Interns will work with the education team to prepare, implement and create interactive public and school outreach programs centered on marine science topics. This includes the setup and breakdown of program materials, assisting with inventory, specimen collections, presenting to the public and other duties as needed. Interns can expect to learn the best practices in interpretative guiding and environmental education development. This internship is offered in Juno, FL.
