Description

The Radiation Protection Internship is available to have completed at least a bachelor of science in nuclear engineering, or radiation physics. You must be proficient with Monte Carlo simulation computer codes such as MCNP or FLUKA, be proficient with computer programing using Python or other languages, and have experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, Maple to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will research different ray trace techniques used in design of LCLS Free Electron Laser (FEL) beamlines under various conditions and develop a computer program to automatically generate FEL ray traces.
