Description

The Subject Matter Expert Intern - Automation is available to students pursuing BS/MS in engineering (mechatronics, electrical, automation, robotics, or equivalent). You must be familiar with industrial automation systems, including robots (6 axis, SCARA, collaborative, gantry), machine vision (cameras, lighting, and programming), motion control (including actuators, motors, pneumatics), sensors, encoders, real time operating system, and data acquisition systems, ability to design, spec, integrate, test, and troubleshoot automated systems, and experience using CAD to review and design mechanical components and assemblies, and create proper engineering part drawings using GD&T practices to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will drive automation activities for stringent enclosure and module manufacturing processes as part of Manufacturing Design’s Automation SME team. Work with integrators, suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal partners to develop advanced automation capabilities and implement them in the supply chain to exacting standards on aggressive project timelines.
