MTC High School Internship - Alameda County

Description

The MTC High School Internship is open to high school students who are at least 16 years of age and have completed 10th grade. You must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and be from Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano or Sonoma to be eligible for this position. Intern assignments cover a wide range of tasks including assisting in surveys, participating in train ride observation checks, compiling and analyzing field data collected for pedestrian plans, assist with work related to bicycle planning, pavement markings and signage counts. There are opportunities to use specialized software, such as Geographic Information System GIS/AutoCAD/ Adobe Illustrator. Clerical work and general office duties that relate to transit and transportation work environments are also available.
