The Library and Archives Division Internship at the Kansas Historical society is available to undergraduate and graduate students interested in museum studies. Internships are available in the following departments: archives, records management, manuscripts, photographs, maps and preservation/conservation management. Interns will gain experience in providing reference service to patrons of a specialized library and archives with many types of materials. You must be enrolled in museum studies, folk arts, education, archaeology, anthropology, preservation architecture, history, library/archival science or a related program to be eligible for this position. Graduate students must demonstrate knowledge of basic historical society operations through coursework and/or previous internship or work experience; undergraduate students must demonstrate qualifications through applicable coursework and previous experience.
