Description

The Art Institute of Chicago offers a Ryerson and Burnham Libraries Internship for college-level juniors, seniors, graduate and professional students. Interns gain first-hand experience in library and archival collections, work under the guidance of curators or department heads and assist in routine departmental work including research. Possible projects can be individually designed to fit practicum or internship requirements for students in master's programs in library science and other academic and professional programs. Candidates must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of art or architecture history, good organizational skills, and be flexible to fit program requirements (minimum one day per week). College credit is available.
