Welcome to the FastWeb Discussions!

The FastWeb Discussions are a place students like you can come to talk about whatever’s on your mind — and even get some solid advice when it comes to all things college related. Whether it’s financial aid questions, scholarship advice or tips on dealing with a roommate.

Within the Discussions, you can have a voice and interact with others, offering up peer-to-peer advice you won’t find anywhere else. This is YOUR community. But like any good community, we have some rules!

Please remember that the FastWeb Discussions are a place for peer-to-peer support as it relates to college, getting into college, finding and applying for scholarships, student life and financial aid. For comments and suggestions on FastWeb, please join the Discussions in the FastWeb Feedback section of Discussions.

For general customer service inquires or site support, please visit our help section at http://www.fastweb.com/help.  If you can't find what you're looking for there, e-mail us at info@fastweb.com.

Community Discussion Rules

  • Our most important rule -- treat fellow members with respect and common courtesy. We believe 90% of issues can be resolved by following that golden rule.

  • Review your entries before posting to ensure accuracy, correct spelling and to avoid any misunderstandings due to poorly worded posts.

  • Avoid internet lingo that others may not understand. If you must use acronyms explain them. GTP (Get the point)?

  • Refrain from using ALL CAPS and excessive use of symbols, smileys, emoticons, bolded text and exclamation marks!!!! Use line breaks and proper punctuation to make your posts easier for your fellow community members to read.

  • Posts, nicknames, signatures, avatars, and general content that are inflammatory, vulgar, sexually explicit, rude or otherwise inappropriate will not be tolerated and will be removed.

  • Be civil, clean, and decent in all posts. Open discussions of varying points of view are encouraged as long as they remain constructive and not inflammatory. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

  • Do not post inappropriate language — this includes curses, racial slurs, hate speech, and anything else you wouldn’t say in front of your grandmother. Anyone using or posting inappropriate content, language, engaging in personal attacks or hate speeches and rants, or being disruptive to the community's positive environment may be barred from all further discussions and/or the FastWeb Discussions completely.

  • Do not post altered-text as an attempt to defeat forum word-filters or otherwise circumvent the rules.

  • Links to adult content, pages with links to adult content, or other inappropriate messages will be removed.

  • Do not post copyrighted material (e.g. Articles, photos, etc.) without permission.

  • Do not include names or links to competitor sites, include advertisements or promotional material or links in your posts.

  • Do not post your personal name/contact information.

  • Any abuse towards our staff, management in any form, including forum moderators, may result in immediate suspension of your account.
