Posted 4 months ago Here I am, almost 50... going to school to work on a Ph. D! The entire experience is exciting, yet frightening at the same time. I have so much to learn! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! |

| Posted 4 months ago Congratulations and keep up the good work! I'm 48 and graduated with a BA from a local university 2 years ago. I will register for the second class in an MBA program at the beginning of August. It has been the ride of a lifetime and I'm not ready to get off yet. Its hard work, but well worth the reward. |

| Posted 3 months ago I applaud each of us for steping out on faith and bettering ourselves to conquer higher heights! Due to familial responsibiltis, I sat out for almost 10 years. But when I made up my mind, the school that was revealed to me was over 125 miles from my comfort zone. But I had to step out and see what was there for me. I let go of my place, a great job, cashed in my 401 (k) for tuition and books, and relocated to Ohio. Oh, did I mention I was living in the dorm for my first year. Yes, at 27 years old I was determined to go back and fulfill my dreams by any means neccessary! I am very thankful for my exerience and plan to continue on through to earn a doctoral degree. Keep up the good work and let's continue to blaze the trails for ourselves and others that we daily encounter! Peace & Blessings |

| Posted 13 days ago Wow, so excited to hear of other returning students over 40--good luck everyone! I found a completely online Healthcare Administration masters at U of St. Francis in Joliet--a brick and mortar school. I was impressed with their down-to-earth approach, too. You finish in15 months if you can take the 8-12 credits per semester, plus summer. I work full time and have 2 kids, but I'm going for it. Now come all the scholarship applications, sigh....at least it gets you in the mode again of writing term papers, lol. |

| Posted 9 days ago I enjoyed reading about all the o/40 people returning to school. I started college at 42 and at 49 I'm in my first year of grad school. I love it!! My undergrad is Criminal Justice and now I'm working on my MSW and when I'm done with that, I'll be working on my doctorate. The huge loans and getting employment at 50 something scare me. |

| Posted 8 days ago I'm 51 my two sons are grown always wanted to be a doctor and I decided to return. I am so afraid that people where going to say I am to old. I registered for school for physician assistant but in my state they only have a masters program. I will have to get a BS in nursing then apply for the pa program. I am willing to do it. I could go somewhere like New York but I am economically challenged reading so many stories I got inspired to continue a go forward. "My each one of us be blessed in our endowment as we continue our Education. Thank U God because without U nothing is possible."
