Long distance relationships are not meant for everyone. I honestly could deal with it. It teaches you patience and that's when you realize how much you love that person. Communication is the key to a relationship whether it's long distance or not. Me, myself, have been talking with someone for quite some months away, since july to be exact and it actually is going GREAT. Although, we really miss each other, I'm learning now how much patience is a virtue along with others. I believe we sometimes need the long distance relationship just to evaluate things and see, if you are the right fit.

I agree that communication is the key.  But myspace and texting isn't the best means of communication sometimes.  You should try and call or visit the special person in your life regularly.  It is different to talk to someone face to face.  It takes a lot of effort to pull off a long distance relationship, snd I have found it takes some money to keep up the visits.  Good Luck

I DON'T THINK IT'S REALLY ANYTHING WRONG WITH LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS...THAT'S UP TO THE PERSON.

I met a guy on the internet, he was in NC and I'm in FL, and we started talking and such. Then we started dating and he came down to visit me for a week. I knew just from that one meeting that he was a keeper. So a few months went by and he came down for a few days for my Homecoming dance. That was when I knew that he was who I wanted to be with. He had been talking about moving down here by me and started to plan things out, but had no luck. About 6 months went by and he finally moved down here. He, of course, had to get a job to pay for rent but he really enjoys it here. Long distance relationships do work out. I suggest you to try it. If things don't work out, then so be it. But not trying leaves the question, "What could we have become?". I know I would rather take my chances because you could really get to know the person so much better and possibly make something bigger than what you ever thought would come out of a long distance relationship. Don't just look at the negative side of things even though they may be rough. :)

The honest truth, no matter how much you want to work things out in a long distance relationship, it's not really going to work out the way you hoped it to be. I mean, it depends on the person and how you look at things. That's really great that you've met a great guy through email, but in person, is he really what he say he is? That's the question you want to ask yourself.

It all depends on the couple. I am a college freshman and my boyfriend is in the Marines. We have been together for two years. While we were in high school (still together) he lived on the east coast and I lived in the Midwest. I think that if u can make them work, why not try.
