| Posted 7 days ago They are all different. When you sign up for each one it tells you what the rules are. Most of them seem to be based on essays you have to write. |

| Posted 6 days ago To answer your question, no. That's a myth that tends to get the best of those (such as myself) who didn't do so well in high school. Many scholarships are based on criteria other than grades and awarded for specific skills or talents. y_tarango1994, I recommend you head to your public library and see if they have a book available called Scholarships, Grants & Prizes (2009 Edition) by Peterson's. In this books theres TONS of scholarships you can apply for. I found about 100 websites in this book, and I'm STILL filling out scholarships. Get ready to spend about a full day in reading this book, as it is a big encyclopedia of different websites. |

| Posted 6 days ago Also, don't forget that just because you apply doesn't mean you'll get it. I'd like to think of scholarships as contests (or lotteries for free money)...But don't lose hope, there's plenty of fish in the sea according to the book I mentioned in my previous post.

| Posted 4 days ago I really like that book too and the others like it. They come out with new versions every year, so the information is always current. A great website for learning about how to win scholarships is: www.how2winscholarships.com. The scholarship guide helped me SO much! |
