Hello Everyone,

I am a College Sophomore and have recently changed my major to Musuem Studies from Business. Although I found the business classes to be interesting , most times they were pretty boring and I just couldnt see my self doing it for the rest of my life.  I have no idea what Career path to choose in life because they are so many options. For know I decided to stick with Museum Studies because the topic interest me. My mother and other family members and friends always ask me about my major and if it as a high income. I personally dont care about money, yes I know its important to make a living but I just want to be happy. I dont know what I want to do for the rest of my life and I just want to know if anyone has or is going through this situation and what have you done?

Trust me, you are not alone on this one. There are so many college students going through the exact same thing. I dont have a clue what i want to do with my life. I have 4 possible majors in mind. So, yes, there are others out there.

My advice is this: persue what you are interested in. It doesnt matter about income and all of that. Even someone who majors in the highest paying career possible is not guarenteed that pay. If you dont do what u like, then you wont excel in your job. If you enjoy both majors and are really concerned, perhaps you should consider a duel major. Buisness and Museum Studies arent separate worlds. It would be very rewarding to have a degree in both. Those two can easily relate to each other and then you would have the benefit of persuing either down the line, or both.

If your not up for a duel major, I say do what interests you. And dont worry about your life. What does worrying get you? Its not going to magically help you predict the future and see what will make you happy. Live for the now and do what you enjoy most.
