For High Schoolers Picking Their Majors!

Posted 4 months ago You have time! You are not required to pick a major until your junior year of college. Take your time passing high school for now and pick a college that meets you academic and social needs. Take some intro classes once you get there. THEN decide what you're interested in.
Honestly, worrying about it now is more than likely a serious waste of the precious little time you have in high school. High school usually don't like having students older than about 20, so spend the time you have in high school being a high school student. After that, you literally have until you die to get a college degree. That one doesn't have an age restriction. Many college students do not get their degree in 4 years. If you take minimum full time (12 credits a semester) it will take you around 5 years to complete your degree requirements. It's not uncommon for someone to take 9 years. You have time to pick. You have time to switch. Just take it all in and find something you enjoy. |
