Posted 5 months ago My favorite teacher was Mr. Ross. He was like the best history teacher and he could rap. After the class did its notes and other stuff, we would listen to music and sometimes just chill out. He was a little crazy but I think that his craziness might have had a part in how we all liked him as a good teacher. |

| Posted 5 months ago My worst college professor was a spanish teacher named Mrs. Suerez-sanchez. She had a terrible accent (she also taught french, and spoke spanish with an english, french, spanish accent)...oh, and she mumbled! Also, she only taught spanish for thirty minutes out of the two hours...the rest of the time she talked about American Politics! I was really mad at her. My favorite college professor was my other spanish teacher named Mrs. Self. She was so nice, cool and happy! She really helped me learn spanish. She was very dedicated to helping each person come out of that class with more of the language than you came in with. She was AWESOME! (I also liked my english teachers...but then i like english! so i don't think that counts!!!) |

| Posted 5 months ago I am still a senior in highschool, but I can definately tell you who my favorite teachers are. I have always struggled in math, and no offense to my old teacher Mr.Wright, the way he taught was horribly boring and I was unable to understand it. But then last year I had Mrs.Cullum for Advanced Algebra, and she made everything amazingly easy for me. I went from having C's to A's just like that. It was not just because she was an amazing teacher; she was also an amazing person. For history, I would have to say that Mr.Sundquist was my favorite. I have always enjoyed history, but when I took his class things seemed to be so much more enjoyable. Before his class, I was very quiet and was scared when I had to go and speak in front of people. Mr.Sundquist had we students teach one another a lesson every Tuesday and Thursday. Because of these assignments, I found that I enjoyed teaching and that puplic speaking was not as bad as it seemed. His class gave me self-confidence, not to mention an appreciation of witty, sarcasitic people. He also sparked a love for debate and politics. He taught me not to settle for the easy way to do things and accept just any answer given; rather, he encouraged indepth thinking to all subject matter. I believe that his teachings are what will eventually effect me most in life. Lastly, my favorite Science teacher would have to be a tie between Mr. Super and Mr. Sivertson. Mr.Super was my 9th grade Physical Science teacher. He was amazing. Though I did not do particularly well in his class, I will always remember the way he taught. He would do crazy, random things. For example, he performed a grouse mating dance (he was VERY into birds) with a fellow student of mine. I remember their faces getting very red from all the quick steps and circles they were making around one another. He once lifted me off the floor while I was still in my desk holding on to dear life to show what a fulcrum was, and would not put me down. He had the strangest quirks about him, too. He loved classical music, and on the afternoons that we had a test he would bring in tea and fruit. He is the one who coaxed me into trying tea for the first time, and I have loved drinking it ever since. He also developed my love of classical music. Mr. Sivertson is a teacher that any student would be lucky to have. At first, I thought that my Anatomy class was going to be very difficult because I had never had the best of luck in Science. But, to my surpsise, he made class fun and easy. I mean, I had class at 8:00 a.m., and I was actually excited to come in and learn. Have you ever had one of those teachers that you just wanted to work harder for? Well, he was that for me. I ended up getting a 97%, and I was thrilled. I also find myself lucky to have met him because he introduced me to mt.biking. He taught me to enjoy putting myself out there and to not be afraid to look like an idiot. He has taught me that the reward of trying something new is greater than the temporary uncomfortableness of any situation. To all the teachers that I have mention, I would like to say thankyou for changing my life for the better. And to all the teachers out there, I appreciate all the things you do and for all the crap that you put up with. |
