I am so sick of applying for jobs online!

Posted 2 months ago I've applied for a decent number of jobs for almost a year now. I've done the follow ups and call the store a few days afterwards asking about my applacation, but every time all they have to say to me in that they themselves don't look at the applactations and they are all kept all file! They will call if I am hired! I am so sick of waiting for these bloody calls! Admitedally I don't have the best resume when it comes to jobs, I've worked as a temp office asstiant for my mother's company and I've done babysitting gigs. But I would think the facts that I've been a girl scout for 13 years and a venture crew memeber for 2 would make up for that. Not to mention coming in 3rd place in Photography CO state level of Skills USA this past year, and 1st and 3rd for Photography and Demo Open at the district level! Also being apart of a Ren. Renactment Group called The Kingdom of Mottistone ( www.mottistone.org ) preforming at all sorts of events in CO and boyscout events! I'm far from being over-qualified for jobs like MCDonalds n such, but far from under-qualed for other jobs such as at the local grocerys or blockbusters! GAH!!
I'm just so sick of not being allowed to go into a store and talk with the manager and ask about a job opening! Everytime I have tried it has been the same ol' thing of "Well we don't sort through the applacations ourselves we have someone else that goes through them for us" GAHH!! then give me THAT person's number I'll go speak with them myself! Oie
If anyone has any advice it'd be greatly appceated! |

| Posted 2 months ago Your writing is a very key component of making an impression. It is that way now, and will be that way for as long as you try to be part of a productive and lucrative society. Brush up on your spelling and grammar, and present yourself powerfully. Your post does not show you to be that powerful person that you may have the potential to be. |

| Posted 2 months ago I am a 48 year old professional and have ben layed off since March 2009. Even tho I am discouraged I keep plugging away! My suggestion is to join the world of grown-ups and start an account on LinkedIn, visit web sites such as Indeed and go to your church for networking opportunities/groups. This economy has us all relearning - how to cope with rejection is one of the lessons. Good luck! |

| Posted 7 days ago I have to agree that the economy does affect our current job market. They are not hiring but laying off people. Believe me hon, the best way to apply is to go out there and get it instead of sitting at home. Go to a career fair, etc. Again, my question for you is Have you proof read your resume? Because Resume is your ONLY TOOL to get you an interview. So again, make it as interesting as possible. Otherwise, the hiring manager will keep it on pile, I must say, since he/she possibly has hundreds of resume that look the same so why bother?? There are a lot of creative ways to get an attention from the hiring manager that you can do. |

me included. I hope you find a job.
