Praxis I for Pre-Teachers

Posted 2 months ago I will get straight to the point: I am in a siutation where I have took the Praxis 7 times (writing and reading parts) with out passing neither of the parts. This test consist of Reading, Math, and 2 parts of English, (Grammar and Essay). Each test cost 80 bucks each! All together 130 bucks. I am now switching over to a different major, besides Education. I am now majoring in Health Promotion. I was a P.E. major. Now my school, ASU-Jonesboro, requires every student who's pursuing a degree in education to take a Praxis I before they can graduate. Well guess what, I haven't passed the test and this is going on my year of being a 2nd senior. I have tried everything to try, to pass this test. It's heartfelt, because I am a hard working student. I come from a family of 13 and I feel like I am disappointing my family right now. But they are supportive of me though. Meanwhile, I want to know if ASU requires so much for passing the Praxis, why don't they have help for students like me? I mean this test is so significant to the point where some of my friends are at the end of their majors and is now switching because there is no help at our school. The only advice they gave me was to try this little helping system which is called PLATO, and do a minor. I am really to the point where I just want to give up, not really because I don't want to become like some of my peers back at home. Therefore, I have to do something else and want something out of life, so I can be able to provide a stable home for my upcoming. |
