| Posted 8 months ago I'm only a junior in high school and like u, i have also been looking at International Relations. is that similar to international business? The reason i got interseted was like u, b/c the fact of traveling and learning about cultures. I LOVE to travel, and that would be awesome to do.I would choose something that u c ur self in the future. Something that you will enjoy! I have a question...for international business, do u have to be good at math>? |

| Posted 8 months ago I was looking at the same issue recently, I went with International Business because it is more dependable then the alternative. There will be more open doors and opportunities as well. Not to mention, the pay difference. |

| Posted 8 months ago International Business is a really cool major. There's a bit of everything in it for the students. Business management, communications, human studies classes... Once you've got a good job you'll be able to travel around the world to boss people around. As a good international business manager, you'd be a bigger asset to a company than say a domestic manager. When it comes time for the chopping block, the better asset gets to stay with the company. Just know though, that there are not many entry level postions for someone with an international business degree. Companies look for managers and business admin folks, they don't put out ads for International Business majors. If you really like the benefits of International Business, make sure to do a subplan/emphasis or minor is something useful (maybe marketing or anything else you feel comfortable with). That way during your interview, if they mention anything about your major, you will be able to point out that you are also qualified for and have taken a course regimen that enables you to do whatever it is they're hiring for.
And yes you have to be good at math. How else are you going to count all your money?!? (There are accounting classes required for business majors.) |
