1. Earn Better Grades

Sometimes, you forget that your number one priority in life is school. Between athletic practice, volunteering and student government, it’s easy to let academics sit on the back burner for a time. That’s why so many students make the New Year’s Resolution to earn better grades—or focus more on schoolwork.

How can I put my resolution into action? It’s simple—don’t commit to any club or activity past 7 p.m. Give yourself three to four solid hours of study time. Soon enough, you’ll see your GPA rise, which will lead to greater success after graduation when your main focus in life is the workforce.

Need money to pay for college?

Every semester, Fastweb helps thousands of students pay for school by matching them to scholarships, grants and awards for which they actually qualify. Sign up today to get started. You'll find scholarships like the $2,000 "No Essay" Scholarship from Niche, a scholarship open to all U.S. students and those planning on enrolling within 12 months.
