In a game of word association, you might follow the term “spring break” with “Mexico.” Most people do. But getting a killer tan doesn’t necessarily require you to hop over the border.
Panama City, Florida
Known affectionately as “PCB” for spring breakers, Panama City has been a destination for students for years. The city meets the Gulf of Mexico on 27 miles of powdery white beach, giving high school and college students plenty of room to play beach volleyball and work on their tans.
Where to stay: The Holiday Inn Resort – just minutes from PCB’s clubs, and the hotel gives guests discounts to the clubs as well as local restaurants. Rooms can be booked for just $65 per person per night in a four-person room.
How to get there: Drive – you’ll find that most students in Panama City made the road trip to the spring break mecca.
