The “In” Crowd

When you think about the “popular” crowd, is there ever a part of you that wishes that you could be part of that group?

We all know the group of people in our high school that everyone knows. Come on, don’t deny it. They are the select few that everyone turns to gaze at, if only slightly.

So many of you would like to be friends with them or even become them, but stop and think about it: Is it really worth it?

Hey, my name is Brandon Huffman, and I am currently a junior in high school in little ole’ Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. I hope to go to college at either Vanderbilt University or John Hopkins University to double major in Biomedical Engineering and English (with a focus in creative writing of course). As of the end of my sophomore year, I was first in my class and taking as many advanced classes as I could.

I really began noticing my love of writing in sixth grade, and after reading the Harry Potter series, I fell hopelessly in love with reading and writing; thus having written my first full length novel by 16 and planning many more to come.

When I’m not focusing on school or working at my part-time job, I’m an active participant in tennis and bowling and probably always will be. I love reading, researching science stuff (yes, I’m a nerd, and proud of it), playing drums, and playing video games – what normal teenager doesn’t?
