Major Retailers Holiday Return Policies to Know

Wrong size, wrong color or just plain ugly?
While you’re probably feeling thankful for gifts you’ve received this holiday season, you can also feel thankful for the option to return them and get something you’ll actually use.
We’ve researched the refund, return and exchange policies of a few major retailers to help you bring back with ease.
Returns and exchanges can be made within 90 days of purchase and you’re going to need your receipt.
Items must be new, unused and contain all the original packaging and parts.
You’ll need your I.D. when making a return.
You can’t get your money back for music, movies, video games and software once they’ve been opened, but you might get a store credit.
Don’t have your receipt?
In most cases Target can look up items if purchased with a debit, credit or gift card, and you’ll get your money back in the same form of payment used when you bought the item.
Good to know.
Some Target items such as camcorders, portable electronics, DVD players and digital cameras are subject to a 15% restocking fee. That’s money you won’t be getting back.
Items bought online.
Check to see if your item can be returned to a Target store. You can find out by reading the details page of your item on Target.com. Look for a bullet that says “You may return this item to any Target store.”
If you can return your item to a Target store, you’re going to need to print off an “In-Store Receipt.” Visit the Target Online Return Center and enter the information on your packing slip. Once you print off a receipt, take this with you to the Target store.
