Top 10 New Year's Resolutions for 2011
By Kathryn Knight
November 19, 2010
6. Make Friends & Family a Priority
It’s so easy to get caught up in running from class to class, presiding over student groups and pulling all-nighters. So easy, in fact, that students tend to forget about those important people in life—friends and family. This year, call your mother once a week for no reason. Make a coffee date with your freshman year roommate. Commit to meeting one new person a week on campus.
Other ways to stay in touch. At the beginning of the year, make a calendar of friend and family birthdays and try to send a card. Also, try to surprise your parents or siblings with an impromptu trip home one weekend.
