Financial aid opportunities for Jewish students.
Jewish students can find financial aid and scholarships that are exclusive to them. These funding opportunities can be found through local synagogues, Jewish affiliated organizations and special scholarships at colleges and universities. For even further help in paying for school, check out scholarships for Jewish students. Jewish Family and Children's Services (JFCS)
JFCS offers need-based and merit-based scholarships for Jewish residents of Sonoma, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo and Northern Santa Clara counties in California. They also offer below-prime loans for residents of these counties as well as the nine Bay Area counties. Emergency financial assistance (short-term loans and grants) for Jewish Bay Area residents in crisis is also available.
Jewish Education Loan Fund
JELF provides education loans to Jewish students from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. JVS Scholarship Fund
Jewish Vocational Service of Los Angeles offers need-based scholarships for Jewish permanent legal residents of Los Angeles County. Applicants must be planning to attend full-time at an approved college, university, vocational school, graduate school or medical school in the coming academic year.
