Im Debbi Stumpf wife, mom, and most recently, a college student. I currently live in the heart of the Heartland, central Indiana, though I have lived throughout California as well. I have been married for over 20 years to my best friend, Ken and have three great kids. I enjoy many things, but at the top of my list is spending time on my favorite beaches and traveling throughout the country. I hope to visit all 50 states by my 50th birthday, and have 10 years and 10 states left to accomplish that goal.
I enrolled in college right out of high school as a business major and then left college to buy my first business, a circa 1920s movie theatre, when I was just 19 years old. I have an entrepreneurial spirit and have always had a business of my own. I currently own a virtual bookstore that combines my love of reading and my desire to increase financial opportunity and literacy within my community.
I have worked as a community volunteer for various organizations contributing both my time and my talents to my favorite causes. The highlight of my volunteer work is serving as a camp counselor every summer. I believe that learning can last a lifetime and have always pursued topics of interest through independent study. I have also taught classes in local libraries and museums for several years.
I have been published as a contributing author in Mark Victor Hansens (Chicken Soup for the Soul) book, The Miracle of Tithing and have additional books in the process of being written. I am a public speaker and love to share my messages of hope with audiences across the United States.
I am currently a distance education student at Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College, in Terre Haute, Indiana, where I am a professional writing major. I recently returned to college to seek my degree and to show my teenager and college-age kids that they will never be too old to obtain their goals.
