SAT/ACT-Optional Colleges and Universities

There are colleges and universities that choose not to emphasize scores from standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. While some make these test scores optional for some, or all applicants, others require them but give greater weight to other factors. As a result, most of these schools strongly emphasize criteria such as class rank or grade point average. Check with the school's admissions office to learn more about their admissions requirements and policies.
