How do I update my email address and/or password?
I have a question about test scores and/or GPA.
Test scores:
You may leave the test score fields blank if:
- You have not taken the SAT and/or ACT test OR
- You don't know your SAT and/or ACT scores OR
- You have taken the SAT and/or ACT but have not yet received your scores
The test score fields are not necessary to complete the profile. If you end up receiving your score at a later time, you can always come back to FastWeb later to enter them. For more information on your scores, we would recommend contacting the testing agencies directly.
GPA:
You may enter your GPA by updating your profile here. For more specific GPA questions, click on the situation below that best fits you:
If you are a new student:
Enter your cumulative high school GPA, or if you have taken college courses previously, enter your cumulative college grade point average from the last time you were enrolled.
If you are a GED recipient:
Keep in mind that there is no official conversion scale that will enable you to convert your GED score to an accurate grade point average. We have devised this scale in an effort to allow you to complete the FastWeb profile, since the GPA field is required. The GPA estimation is to be used only on FastWeb and is NOT an official GPA conversion.
To convert your GED to a GPA for the FastWeb profile, find your total score and divide that total score by the number of sections on the test you took. Most students are tested on five sections of the GED. For instance, if your total score was 2300 and you took five sections, your average GED score would be 460 (2300/5 = 460).
Do your best to match up your average GED score to an estimated GPA below:
| GED Score |
|
Estimated GPA |
| Below 300 |
= |
0-1.0 |
| 300-400 |
= |
1.5-1.9 |
| 401-500 |
= |
2.0-2.9 |
| 501-600 |
= |
3.0-3.4 |
| 601-700 |
= |
3.5-3.7 |
| 701-800 |
= |
3.8-4.0 |
From the example above, an average score of 460 would be equal to about a 2.6 GPA.
Approximate your unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale and answer accordingly. Again, please note that this is an estimation and is not meant to be an exact conversion. An estimation for FastWeb purposes is acceptable.
If you are an international student:
If you do not have a traditional American grade point average, you will need to approximate your unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale and answer accordingly.
If your work was deemed 'excellent' for a course, your grade point would be 4.0 for that particular course. You may use the chart below to help guide you:
| 4.0 |
= |
Excellent |
| 3.0 |
= |
Good |
| 2.0 |
= |
Satisfactory/Average |
| 1.0 |
= |
Below Average |
| 0.0 |
= |
Poor |
If your school does not use grades, uses weighted grades or you were homeschooled:
If your school does not use the '4.0' grading system, use the chart below to convert your estimated GPA to a '4.0' scale and answer accordingly.
If your work was deemed 'excellent' for a course, your grade point would be 4.0 for that particular course. You may use the chart below to help guide you:

If you are a returning adult student:
Many students returning to college do not recall their GPA the last time they were enrolled. For FastWeb purposes, an estimation of your last GPA is acceptable. Use the information below to estimate your GPA to the best of your ability:
