Have you ever been at the store practically drooling over an outfit that is just way out of your price range? Or coveting that latest sports car model that seems to have it all? Trust me, we’ve all been there.

What would you do if a sales associate walked over to tell you that the perfect outfit or new car was being offered at an extreme discount? You’d jump on that.

The same is true of the following colleges. Their initial sticker price is enough to give anyone a near heart attack, but once merit aid has been figured in, these colleges can be had for a new low, low price.

Brigham Young University

Brigham Young University offers a discount up front to students who are of the Mormon faith, but they don’t stop there. In fact, all students at BYU are able to take advantage of generous financial and merit aid packages.

The total cost for non-Mormons is $17,552 and $12,842 for Mormons. After financial and merit aid, non-Mormon students receive a 30% discount for a total average cost of $12,219, and Mormons receive a discount of almost 42% at $7,509, according to an article from Kiplinger on Yahoo Finance.
