The Brown v. Board of Education Scholarship is available to Virginia students who were unable to attend public school between 1954 and 1964 due to the closing of public schools in certain localities to avoid desegregation (Massive Resistance). To be eligible, you must have been in the public school system of Arlington, Charlottesville, Norfolk, Prince Edward County, or Warren County during the aforementioned time period.
