The Richard Carley Hunt Memorial Postdoctoral Fellowship is available to scholars who have earned their Ph.D within the last 10 years. You must have completed the primary research component of your proposal and seek support for the writing process to publish works that will influence the development of anthropology. You must also have a well-defined research question, conclusions and/or theoretical claims that are well supported by appropriate evidence from the research, a discussion of the work in the context of the appropriate research done by international scholars, and a clear indication of the uniqueness of the work and/or the significance of the research to important theoretical and methodological issues in anthropology. This award will support up to 12 months of full-time writing. Preference will be given to scholars who are untenured or who do not yet have a permanent academic position.
