The Diverse Minds Youth Writing Challenge is open to high school students in New York City, the Washington, D.C. metro area, the Delmarva Peninsula, and southern New Jersey. To be considered, you must write and illustrate a children's book that addresses the topics of tolerance, diversity, or inclusion. Entrants are encouraged to create innovative ways to teach tolerance to young children, as well as gain new insights into these issues for themselves. Students may work individually or in teams of up to four. Books must be between 16 and 24 pages and each page must include text and image(s).
