- The Presidential Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen and transfer students at Alabama State University. Incoming freshmen must have a GPA of 3.76 or higher and have a minimum ACT score of 28 (or SAT of 1230- 1600) to qualify for this award. Transfer students must have completed at least 24 semester hours and also have a GPA of 3.76 or higher.
