The Whitaker Fellowship is available to graduating college seniors, recent grads, MS, and Ph.D. students who are pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering or bioengineering. You must have an interest in continuing your studies in a country outside of the United States and Canada and your latest degree may not have been obtained more than three years prior to the start of the grant. To qualify for this award, you must also be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have the language ability to carry out the proposed project in the host country at the time of departure, and be nominated by the dean of a school or chair of the biomedical engineering department at the institution you are attending or have most recently attended.
