- The Mable White Holmes Scholarship is available students at Eastern Michigan University who have a GPA of at least 2.5 and plan on majoring in elementary or secondary education. You must demonstrate your committment to educating students enrolled in K - 12 in one of the following ways: (1) enrolled in a pre-service teacher education program. (2) Have completed their term of student teaching. (3) Have enrolled at the University in the education teacher certification program after having received their undergraduate degree.
