- The IES Merit-Based Scholarship for Under-Represented Students is available to students at institutions that are members or associate members of the IES college consortium. You must be from a student group who have been traditionally under-represented on study abroad programs. This group includes, but is not limited to, students identifying by a certain race, sex, color, religion, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, age, marital status, national origin or ancestry, ethnic origin, veteran status and students with a history of overcoming adversity. You must be accepted into an IES study abroad program and have a minimum 3.3 GPA to be eligible for this award.
