You must be committed to a career in biomedical, behavioral or social science health-related research and have a minimum 3.3 GPA or rank in the top five percent of your class to be considered for this award. This award pays up to $20,000 per year. For each year of funding you receive, you must participate in a paid 10-week Summer Laboratory Experience at an NIH research laboratory. You must also agree to work for the NIH after you graduate for a number of years equal to the number of years you receive funding. U.S. citizenship is also required to qualify for this award.
