The Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship is available to first - and second - year graduate students. To be considered for this award, you must be pursuing full - time studies at a U.S. graduate institution in a foreign affairs related program, be a U.S. citizen, and have a minimum 3.2 GPA. You should have a strong interest in preparing to become a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State and demonstrate academic strength in your coursework and participation in activities that highlight your leadership potential and involvement in your community.
