The Fountainhead $10,000 Essay Contest

Are you familiar with Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead? If not, read up on it and enter this scholarship essay contest for your shot at $10,000. Ayn Rand was a novelist and philosopher. She is known for her invention of a philosophical system she called Objectivism. Ayn Rand’s novels are intellectually stimulating and reading and writing about them, according to the website, could be life changing.
236 scholarships will be given out, ranging from first place ($10,000) to semifinalists ($50). Applicants must write an essay, no fewer than 800 and no more than 1,600 words, on one of the three topics provided on the website relating to the novel. The contest is open to students worldwide who are in the 11th or 12th grade. Essay must be postmarked no later than April 26, 2010, no later than 11:59PM, Pacific time.
