Sponsored by Amplify Education, the Book Nerd Words Contest is open to all students above the age of 13 in the U.S. and Canada.

To be considered, you must submit a video of no more than 30 seconds in length where you craft a brief story about the definition of one of five book related words on the sponsor’s website.

The MoversCorp.com Scholarship is available to students currently enrolled in a university program that is two years or longer in length.

You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and submit an essay of between 500 and 800 words on your moving experience in order to qualify for this award.

You must be a US citizen, submit an essay between 500 and 1,000 words long and must fully answer one of the following questions to be eligible for this award.

1. How might excessive perspiration influence one’s perception of self? Or, how might viewing someone else’s excessive perspiration influence your perception of them?

2. Explore the connection between social anxiety and excessive perspiration.

3. When is sweat “good / acceptable / attractive” and when is sweat is sweat “bad / unacceptable / unattractive”?

The Choose Your Adventure Contest is open to all students above the age of 13 in the U.S. and Canada.

“From Failure to Promise” Essay Contest

Award Amount: $10,000

The “From Failure to Promise” Essay Contest is open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students who hold at least a 2.5 GPA.

To be considered, you must submit an essay of at least 1500 words that addresses the following three topics: Which tracks of the book “From Failure to Promise – 360 degrees” presented or reiterated the most important life lessons for you and why, which factor was the most vital to the author’s evolution in going from “flunk-out” to “professor” and how does the “Seven Spheres of Influence and Integration Model” affect your worldview as related to civic responsibility.

The Invensis Young Thinker Scholarship Essay Award is available to undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university.

You must be between the ages of 18-26 and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to qualify for this award.

Additionally, you must submit a minimum 600-word essay on the following topic: “In your opinion, which was the most disruptive mobile technology of 2014 and how is it a game changer? How will it evolve to impact the future?”

Things may happen to bring us down but there is a positive side to every situation and poets are especially great at finding that silver lining.
