Scholarship Spotlight: SATW Young Travel Writers Scholarship

The Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), a non-profit organization that works to promote responsible journalism and responsible travel wants to hear about your travels. This scholarship encourages young writers to share their most amazing travel memory through words and images.
Applicants, submit a blog about where you went and what it meant to you, what worked and what didn’t work, what you learned from the trip, or how it changed you. Show the reader what you experienced. Be specific! Include practical details about your travels so that others can choose to follow in your footsteps, examples include names of resorts, hotels or cruise ships, beaches, restaurants, tours, volunteer programs. Also, include links to online sites if applicable. Blogs must be no more than 1,500 words in length.
Applicants must be ages 18-26 as of May 2, 2010. Submissions will be judged on originality, quality of expression, and a sense of place.
The winner will receive a cash award of $150. Three finalists will win honorable mention and a travel prize. All submissions will be published on Family Travel Forum’s travelBIGO.com.
